Welcome to the IDST 120 class website. Lecture notes, in-class assignments, and projects will be posted here.

Before class begins, please review the day’s lecture notes.

IDST 120 may be taken for Credit/No Credit in lieu of a letter grade. Choose this option on Web CT ASAP.

Grading Rubric for IDST 120:

Grading is based upon a number of factors. Each grade reflects the extent to which the student has a) met the core criteria as outlined in the syllabus b) completed the semester with a level of demonstrated skill acquisition and initiative.

A – Demonstrates an excellent command and understanding of the tools and methods used throughout the duration of the course. Perfect attendance, no tardies, active participation, completion of all class projects, in-class exercises, thorough presentations, and excellence on the Final Exam.

B – Demonstrates a satisfactory command and understanding of the tools and methods used throughout the duration of the course. Satisfactory attendance, minimal tardies, active participation, completion of class projects, in-class exercises, thorough presentations, and a satisfactory grade on the Final Exam.

C – Demonstrates basic awareness and understanding of the tools and methods used throughout the duration of the course. Average attendance/tardies, participation, completion of class projects, in-class exercises, presentations, and/or a passing grade on the Final Exam.

D – Poor attendance/excessive tardies, lack of participation, incomplete class projects and in-class exercises, presenting incomplete work, missing presentations, and/or  a poor grade on the Final Exam.

The instructor has the right to drop a student from class if there are excessive attendance or tardy issues.
